Can you walk us through the steps you took to get this internship?
I applied for this internship online and what made me stand out versus other prospective candidates was my leadership position as Director of Operations in my student organization, Bauer Student Union and my part-time job at the YMCA. A lot of students think that their part-time job won’t matter but it does!
If someone wants an internship like yours, what advice would you give them?
Let the recruiters know you want the job! Be enthusiastic and be true to who you are. I’m excited about this internship because I will be able to have a part in the amazing work St Jude’s Research Hospital does. I am also excited to work in a corporate setting for the first time. This experience will help me grow as a professional.
