The TEX-E Prize – Application closes Jan. 29

Dear University Friends and Innovators,

Great news: Texas student entrepreneurs who are developing energy transition solutions now have until Jan. 29 to apply to the inaugural TEX-E Prize!

This multi-round startup competition is designed to bolster, encourage, and inspire students across the state of Texas to pursue entrepreneurship as a way to reduce emissions while also building a healthier and more resilient society. Winners will receive a total of $50,000 in cash prizes to advance their ventures.

The TEX-E Prize is an initiative of the Texas Entrepreneurship Exchange for Energy (TEX-E), a first-of-a-kind collaboration among Greentown, MIT’s Martin Trust Center for Entrepreneurship, and universities across Texas. TEX-E aims to create a powerful student-driven energy entrepreneurship ecosystem in and around Houston.

Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Texas students: learn more about the prize and apply by Jan. 29
  • Texas educators: forward this email to students and energy/climate clubs at your school
  • Other supporters: spread the word on social media

Thank you for your help supporting Texas’ game-changing energy innovators!

Warmly,
The Greentown Houston Team
