This internship opportunity has a targeted duration 8-months, beginning on May, 2024.

SCM Interns will be asked to complete a variety of tasks and may work on several projects simultaneously. The position conducts various supply chain analyses, including internal and external market research studies, data and process analysis, and support of innovative digital solutions that help drive efficiency and data-driven decision making for SCM management and cross-operating company procurement teams. Frequent interaction with leadership, senior managers, nternal stakeholders, and external vendors can be expected.
Supply Chain Management interns are assigned to positions and projects that contribute value to Chevron based on degree, relevant academic preparation, previous work experience, and career objectives. Interns will be provided guidance by a supervisor and a technical mentor.
Prior internship assignments include:

Business Intelligence & Data Visualization (e.g., spend, inventory, cost, etc.)

Strategic sourcing, negotiations strategy & execution

Business process improvement across the enterprise (e.g., logistics, contracting, materials management, inventory management, demand planning, etc.)

Evaluation and deployment of digital solutions, including change management
-
Benchmarking our performance and making and/or implementing recommendations to improve results

Market intelligence for existing and new products/services

Project management

Qualifications:

Pursuing Bachelor’s degrees in Business Commerce with a specialization in Supply Chain Management; Or first-year MBA (Master of Business Administration) or Master’s students who find interest in Procurement/Supply Chain Management.

Demonstrated high level of academic performance.

Good communication, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills

Strong work ethic with internal drive to succeed

Strong computer applications knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Data Analytics Tools – spotfire.

Previous oil and gas related internship experience is an asset.
