Job Description:
- Record revenue, remit royalties, remit and report severance taxes for oil and gas sales associated with company and outside operated properties.
- Process natural gas plant allocations. Review and process division of interest changes received from Land Administration.
- Collect and monitor accounts receivable, monitor gas balancing, pipeline imbalances, and prepare related entries.
- Prepare Division monthly revenue accruals, analyze Division financial statements and prepare variance explanations.
- Perform account reconciliation and analysis on revenue related general ledger accounts.
- Respond to royalty owners’ inquiries and work on special projects.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting desired.
- A business degree in a related field with a minimum of 18 hours of Accounting will be considered.
- CPA a plus.
- Working knowledge of and ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles.
- Position requires sound analytical ability.
- Ability to gather and communicate data logically, accurately, and concisely.
- Must be able to meet rigorous deadlines and work effectively with others.
- Must be able to perform most assignments with minimal supervision.
- Must be proficient with MS Excel.
- Quick learner, self-starter, and independent worker.
