The Scheduler Student Worker is responsible for supporting and engaging with more experienced schedulers to ensure that all scheduling processes take place in an accurate and timely manner according to pipeline and department cutoffs. This job requires strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and the ability to cultivate positive relationships. Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Accurately nominates a pipeline Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB) and use internal systems as available
- Schedules daily volumes for various supply, markets and interconnects
- Tracks storage injections, withdrawals, and balances
- Confirms daily and monthly nominations with internal and external schedulers
- Updates Endur to allow for invoice and statements processing; assists in resolution of billing and pathing discrepancies and responds to questions in a timely fashion
- Communicates maintenance schedule, interruptions in service (cuts), Operational Flow Orders (OFO) capacity issues, and operational conditions to Front Office.
- Communicates with and cultivates relationships with scheduling counterparts and pipeline representatives to ensure operational integrity
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
- Required: Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program at the University of Houston with a graduation date of December 2024 or May 2025
- Preferred: Accounting, Business, Finance or Marketing and Management
- Preferred: Minimum two (2) years’ work experience
Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:
- Must be willing to work during business hours, after hours, early mornings, nights, weekend shifts and some holidays
- This full-time position is for fall semester 2024 with the mutual option to extend to spring of 2025; we will do our best to work around your class schedule as needed
Other Requirements:
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
- Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Preferred: Experience with ETRM systems
- Preferred: Knowledge of US gas pipeline systems and market areas
Compensation:
Compensation is a non-negotiable, hourly rate that is determined by graduation date:
- $26.92 /hr – December 2024 and May 2025 grads
