In conjunction with the Client Service Executives (CSE), be first point of contact in a company that puts clients first. As a Client Service Associate at Western Asset in the Public/Multi-Employer Channel, your focus will be on building outstanding relationships that enable us to look after clients’ investments in ways that are right for them. Working in an increasingly automated environment, you’ll deliver proactive organizational and analytical support to our client base and our team of CSEs. You’ll learn our business from the ground up, building your experience through exposure to various departments, participating in departmental projects/initiatives, and communicating with our clients
What you will do
Get to know a specific group of clients and prospects, providing ongoing support to complement the face-to-face services offered by our wider team
Develop a deep understanding of your clients’ circumstances and needs to deliver customized solutions, following up opportunities, providing competitive analysis and offering product data and reporting as needed
Keep up to date with Western Asset products, investment processes and investment strategies, as well as wider market conditions, to offer clients the best possible support
Enhance our offer to clients and colleagues by looking for better ways of working, and taking part in projects that increase our efficiency

At the same time, you’re always on the look-out for better ways to serve your clients. Come up with a great idea and you’ll be part of the team that delivers it. Good organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure are essential, as is attention to detail. What you will bring
4 year undergraduate degree. MBA and/or CFA Designation a plus.
At least two years’ client service or marketing experience in the investment management industry, or four years’ relevant work experience in another industry
Interest in investments, finance and marketing with a focus on client service. Solid understanding of fixed income securities, operations, accounting rules and/or portfolio management a plus
Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
