We have a unique and exciting opportunity to grow our Consulting group by adding a full-time Energy Consultant.
Our Consulting group regularly provides technical and financial due diligence, asset transaction support, project development services, and owner’s engineering services. This position will require you to execute work associated with the development, financing, and execution of power generation projects. In addition, it will require a great deal of face-to-face interaction with power plant developers and financial institutions during the execution of consulting services work for the firm.
We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.
This position requires someone who has a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering (other engineering disciplines may be considered). A Master’s degree in an engineering discipline or business (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
In order to qualify, it is essential that you have two or more years of experience in the power industry, including:
Independent engineering experience for power projects and/or experience in development of power projects;
Experience with multiple power generation technologies (i.e., thermal, renewables, etc.);
Experience in project finance or financial modeling of power projects is a plus;
Experience with owner’s engineering activities during power project execution is a plus.
Also, extremely important are:
Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Experience writing technical reports and proposals.
Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others.
Project planning and leadership skills.
