An Equity Strategy Analyst 1 contributes to IAG’s equity investment strategies and guidance portfolios, provides equity research support for advisors with customized discretionary or non-discretionary equity holdings within their assigned sectors, and contributes to IAG Communications such as monthly and quarterly commentaries, ad-hoc commentaries and in response to advisor inquiries
Have an understanding of the fundamental business characteristics as well as risk and return drivers of the companies in their areas of coverage.
Monitor companies under coverage by reviewing quarterly earnings results, company presentations and conference calls, meeting with companies when practicable (in town), following current industry trends and developments, and reviewing company filings such as 10K’s, Q’s etc.
Contribute as needed to the development and maintenance of approved purchase, retention and sell lists customized to meet channel-specific business needs and respond to advisor inquiries about the lists.
Contribute to the management of the IAG equity strategy and guidance portfolios through collaborating with senior analysts on buy and sell recommendations to the team regarding companies within coverage universe.
Respond to advisor inquires on companies within the coverage universe.
Contribute to IAG Equity team communications including monthly and quarterly commentaries, analyst presentations on PWM calls, company and sector commentaries.
Collaborate with other analysts on bespoke research as needed for special client situations.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related discipline or field of study.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in portfolio management, equity research and/or analysis or related area.
Existing Investment Advisory Representative registration (Series 65) or knowledge and professional skills to meet registration requirements or waiver qualifications (such as CFA or CFP).
Critical thinking skills, and knowledge of foundational investment concepts.
Basic understanding of fundamental equity analysis.
Basic knowledge of investment analytical tools such as Factset, Bloomberg, and/or Excel to facilitate investment analysis.
Proficiency with MS Office communications tools such as Word and PowerPoint to develop or edit written collateral materials supporting equity models and strategies.
Ability to effectively communicate to PWM teammates, business leaders, and clients.
CFA Designation within 90 days of employment
Preferred Qualifications: In addition to the required qualifications:
Completed level 1 of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or working toward an MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related field.
2 years of equity portfolio management and/or research experience.
Solid written and oral communications skills.
