This position is responsible for Division/Customer Financial Management of Sales and Trade for NUSA. This position supports several functional areas: Division Sales Finance, Field Sales Finance, Sales – CSD, and Field Sales. The scope of responsibilities include: lead the Goal Setting/ Planning processes across all NUSA divisions, by establishing performance targets, developing plans to achieve those targets, and being a financial liaison to CSD, and field sales. Support the forecasting processes and variance analyses by providing division/category/customer financial metrics to key stakeholders. Strategic Finance Lead for trade systems business support, and trade system integration changes. The position interacts with multiple functional areas such as sales, field sales finance, and corporate to meet requirements. The key performance indicators are sales volume, real internal growth, organic growth, trade, and profit. The key quality indicators are trade management, planning/forecasting and customer service.
The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Annual Planning
Help lead the annual and mid-year planning. Help lead the communication efforts and work with CSD, Field, and Division Sale Finance Managers to ensure accurate timely goal process
Create and execute templates and standard reporting for creation of goals, account reviews, TSE’s, and final trade roll-ups by Division and Field VP’s
Help lead in the development of Goals (Preliminary, Initial, revised and mid-year adjustment)
Partner with Division Sales Finance to lead TSE processes for divisions and total NUSA
Monitor NUSA OCC against budget. Assist CDAMs, Directors, CSD, and Sales Finance in interpretation of results and develop action plans for margin improvement
Actively participate in the Integrated Commercial Planning (ICP) process by working with Marketing, CSD, Sales and Demand Planning to identify NUSA trade risks and opportunities
2. Monthly/Annual Forecasting
Lead the month-end forecasting process, and creation of models to track trade forecasts vs. actuals, and variance analysis once actuals are complete (for all NUSA)
Help in the creation of monthly forecasting for Ice Cream utilizing NAP+
Creation of models/tools to track division/category trade spend events by customer, that can be used to help forecast calendarized trade
Creation of models/tools to review changes in Osprey events and accruals
Creation of models/tools to review and forecast OI trade
Work with Division sales finance and participate in the monthly and annual calendarized trade forecasting for the MBP/DF process to improve calendarized forecasting
Support monthly and year-end close trade fund requirements
Serve as Osprey super user or contact
3. Trade Systems Management
Osprey development and support lead for Ice Cream/ Pizza Implementation
Osprey support lead for base + lift accounts
Division liaison for system planning/goal processes in ISW (and future trade systems)
Provide ongoing training and leadership for trade systems as needed.
4. Special Projects
Sales Finance CCS Development and implementation and support
Support the trade execution and NUSA reporting requirements for Strategic Pricing Project and Strategic Revenue management
Reports to Director of Finance – Trade Analysis and Insights. Receives direct supervision from this position. Standard processes, procedures and templates have been developed for the majority of all tasks.
Direct reports TBD. Significant cross functional management is required to perform timely, high quality work. High level of interaction with Sales Finance (Division & Field), Field Sales, and CSD.
Position will drive planning processes and forecasting across all of NUSA. Helps to evaluate efficiency of overall trade spend.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
College Degree required. Bachelor in Accounting/Finance, MBA or CPA preferred
Four to five years of accounting/finance experience with a CPG company.
3-5 years finance management experience with a CPG company
Previous experience with trade fund management required
