Great opportunity for a confident, highly motivated, self-starter Finance Manager UCC Operations. In this role you will manage all aspects of plant variances, standard cost, other cogs, capital spend, & inventory for the UCC business unit. The position will also work closely with other plant controllers that manufactures products for the UCC division and the Director of Operations Finance for synergies and the various UCC platforms. Reporting directly into this position is the UCC inventory cost analyst and Covington plant cost analyst.
Job responsibilities, not limited to:
Support Director of Operations for synergy projects which includes but is not limited to synergy savings tracking, synergy modeling, synergy expense tracking, forecasting, & budgeting
Works with UCC business unit and plant management to support financial modeling for new product cost, cost improvement projects, and other analysis as required.
Oversees the month end close process, forecast process, and budget process for UCC plant variances, inventory, capex, and other cogs
Maintains good working relationships with business unit finance/management as well as plant finance/management meeting regularly with teams to understand current projections and identify risks and opportunities.
Compliance to Corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
Actively participates in major project teams.
Oversees the selection, orientation, development, and retention of members of the finance and accounting team and maintains two direct reports.
Special assignments as determined by Director of Operations Finance.
Education & Experience
BA in Accounting or Finance required. MBA, CPA, CMA a plus.
A minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in an Accounting/Finance role supporting a manufacturing environment required.
Proven leadership skills – ability to lead and serve as an effective team member in a large organization including planning, developing, organizing, directing, managing, and evaluating personnel.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proven experience owning and driving financial reporting & results, leader, with a proven work ethic and consistently exceeding results.
Proven experience working with capital budgeting, including IRR / NPV principals and product costing methodologies, financial analysis, and cost accounting, finance principles, GAAP and internal controls.
Demonstrated past experience in people management preferred.
Strong Financial systems and tools knowledge and utilization skills (HFM, SAP, BPC).
Advanced proficiency in Excel as demonstrated by previous experience creating and manipulating complex spreadsheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.) required.
Previous ERP costing experience (SAP highly desirable) related to standard cost build-ups and work order variance analysis.
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
