**Position Description: **
Perform entry level activities related to compiling, analyzing and preparing financial planning models and information. Assist with preparation and maintenance of financial models pertaining to utilities and natural gas distribution. Provide financial analysis related to cash positioning and payment processing, as well as, economic analysis activities related to new business development projects, capital projects, acquisitions and/or other strategic opportunities (as specified by position).
Utilize computers to compile data, prepare financial models, and summarize results that simulate activities for the purpose of forecasting trends related to and including (as specified by position):
- Storage injection/withdrawals
- Transmission system operations
- Gas sales revenues, margins, volumes, customer count, HDD and other relevant data
Assist with economic analyses of various businesses to assess profitability, returns, and value of acquisitions or apply standardized financial metrics to evaluate profitability measurements, return on invested capital, and cost of capital benchmarks and earnings impact of potential new business.
Compile, calculate, and present reports related to and including (as specified by position):
- System optimization
- Price curves
- Financial forecasts
- Volumes delivered
- Cost of capital and performance metrics
- Company profile reports
- Company valuation
- Financial ratios
- Actual to forecast variances
- Financial statements
Provide information and assistance to management, accounting, business development, attorneys, auditors, and/or others regarding models, forecasts, budgets, acquisitions, and/or financial plans.
Perform treasury and financing functions such as journal entries, reconciliations, analysis, forecasts and ensure compliance related to debt instruments (as specified by position).
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

**Position Requirements: **
Preferred Bachelor’s Degree economics, finance, accounting or an equivalent combination of formal education with the following job related experience:
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain data related to financial forecasts, models, and statistics.
Working knowledge and understanding of areas related to revenue, expenses, taxes, financing, discounted cash flows, and prices.
Demonstrated ability with application of math, algebra, and statistical methods.
Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software.
Working knowledge and/or training related to:
- Utility industry economics
- Financial risk management
- Contract administration/analyses
- Communication/interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to research, compile, and prepare reports, studies, forecasts, financial models, and correspondence applicable to position.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret financial data, accounting and tax-related publications; various gathering, processing, and pipeline contracts; and manuals, computer printouts, and legal documents.
Demonstrated ability to interact, advise, and communicate effectively.
Demonstrated ability to develop and present information to individuals and groups.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Preferred Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or Master of Business Administration (as specified by position).
Mobility to travel in and around office facilities system wide.
Communicate and/or exchange information or verbal instructions and conduct oral presentations.
Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
