The Oncology Contract Strategy Analyst is responsible for supporting the contract strategy team in creation and utilization of system platforms for Brands within the AZ product portfolio, maintaining consistency with strategy as it is implemented. Utilizing strong analytical skills to drive business analytics, reporting, trend analysis, forecasting, modelling, day-to-day activities and special projects to support each team in the contract strategy team and/or RCO’s creation, from implementation to ongoing monitoring. This role will utilize strong analytical skills, including problem solving, forecasting and financial modelling to help assist in the development of contract strategy creation and monitoring (SCO and RCO) for launch and in-line products. The Oncology Contract Strategy Analyst will work closely with different Managed Market stakeholders, Brand Teams and AZ Data/Systems to ensure all contract strategies and offerings have financial justification based on positive ROI, quantitative and qualitative business judgment in assessing the performance of existing contract strategies and offerings. Support the Contract Strategy team to deliver timely and comprehensive contract submissions and segment strategies for Oncology during the Brand Team Approval Meetings and Contract Governance Committee (CGC) processes.
Assists in the develop and implementation of contract strategies and contracting platforms.
Coordinate with team of analysts/specialists in operational activities such as rebates, chargebacks, government reporting, NBIs, contract writing and process approvals.
Monitors environment, data trends and shifts in trends or behaviours, interpret likely impact and suggest appropriate actions.
Develops deep understanding of all systems, data and day-to-day activities.
Pulls and builds Ad Hoc or queued reporting capabilities for Contract Strategy and/or Market Access teams to help support the business
Bachelor’s degree; preferably in a relevant field (Marketing, Science, Statistics/Mathematics, Economics or Finance)
2+ years of pharmaceutical, financial or related healthcare business
Strong analytical skills including problem solving, forecasting, contract development and financial modelling
Demonstrated relationship building skills
Detailed oriented, self-disciplined and demands high-quality results
Multi-industry marketing practice
Thorough understanding of AZ business model with specific knowledge of brand team operation, brand planning and sales model
Experience in pharmaceutical sales and/or healthcare industry
Understanding of Market Access and Healthcare delivery
