Job Description Summary
The Procurement Manager supports field operations with strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship management. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the effective support of business development efforts, new account transitions and existing account transformations. Below are further key components of the role:
Develops and maintains strong relationships with business units and penetrating the organization by continually demonstrating value through thought leadership and breaking down barriers in order to effectively impact business development, transitions and transformations.
Engages business units and vendor stakeholders to develop strong relationships
Works in an unified team environment and team goals and ensures all business units and vendor stakeholders understand the connection between the overall transition or transformation objectives and the Procurement implementation strategy
Drives for results by consistently achieving goals and pushing to complete tasks by their deadlines
Develops and delivers communications with clarity and impact, ensuring consistent messaging
Encourages creation and brings new best in class ideas and approaches to the table for developing and executing category strategies and working within the supply market to ensure Cushman & Wakefield meets or exceeds their objectives
Transitions / Transformations
Manage all aspects of Procurement deliverables on new account Transitions or Transformations to ensure an effective go-live and account stability.
Participate and create direct client presentations and reporting on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis
Manage Client Requests for Information: to include the due diligence of securing client information, developing robust timelines and reporting capabilities
Ensuring the appropriate staffing levels hired and trained for the client account
Planning, Development and Training of Procurement Policies & Procedures / Roles and Responsibilities for C&W Client Account Team
Working cross-functionally with other departments including Finance, Operations, HR, Project Management, etc. for delivery of the procurement solution
Working with C&W Legal Counsel to ensure the development of Client’s Service Agreements and Purchase orders to ensure smooth transition of suppliers to C&W Service Agreements or Client’s Agency Agreement. This consists of managing the messaging and negotiations of contract terms and conditions to include COI’s, Limitation of Liability and other client flow downs or business requirements
Ensuring utilization of Preferred Suppliers and Diverse Suppliers to ensure KPI’s and Metrics are met
Employ C&W best practices, policies, processes, tools and templates to include both C&W corporate and Client account specifications, as well as engaging with Category Managers and preferred suppliers in the execution of Procurement responsibilities.
Analyze account-wide spend, vendors, operations and processes to continually identify opportunities for value creation. Develop and implement a procurement strategy based on the identified opportunities.
Working with Category Management to complete supplier assessments and supplier performance management /audit to identify potential right suppliers for the client, utilizing our preferred supplier relationships. Able to contribute intensive knowledge of supplier management and share market expertise.to right source day to day tasks.
Ability to develop and understand data analytics, to mine data to drive in depth analysis of client 3rd party spend.
Develop methods and procedures for identifying value during business development/transitions/transformation to include in new Business Development materials.
Lead and/or support Corporate initiatives designed to deliver revenue to the organization.
Knowledge and Experience:
Preferred: have at least 5 years of relevant supply management or project management experience
Understanding of the Strategic Sourcing processes and demonstrated proficiency with e-tools such as e-RFPs, reverse auctions, e-catalogs, and contract management systems
Must possess legal knowledge, ability to prepare/negotiate agreements and amendments, and the ability to explain to client the specifics of the contracts.
Must possess analytical and quantitative skills with ability to analyze and interpret information, data and related documentation.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
Self-motivated and work independently to find solutions
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
Strong organization skills with the flexibility to handle multiple tasks
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field is required. MBA or related Master Degree preferred.
Professional certifications preferred e.g. ,IPMP, CPSM, CIPS, C.P.M., or evidence of continued professional growth
