Full Job Description
The Director, Sales Operations is a key role for Sage Intacct and has the responsibility of directing and managing a team that supports the operations, analytics, and technology stack investments to further accelerate sales growth for Sage Intacct’s direct and channel sales organization. These include planning, reporting/analytics, quota and territory management, sales compensation plan designs, sales process optimization and global project participation as required. The ideal candidate excels at developing strategic plans and insights to drive key business objectives and is very comfortable getting hands-on in translating financial and strategic plans into day-to-day processes, systems, and data. You must be an excellent communicator that thrives on driving cross-functional alignment between Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Business Systems/IT, Legal, Product Marketing and Finance.
Ensures planning, forecast and budgeting efforts are appropriately integrated with other planning processes employed within the firm.
Responsible for equitably assigning direct sales force quotas and ensuring the firm’s financial objectives are optimally allocated to all resources through the quota program.
Partners with senior sales leadership and sales effectiveness leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvement.
Stays current on industry best practices and helps prioritize investments in enabling technologies in support of direct sales organization productivity.
Recommends changes and enhancements to the company Customer Relationship Management technology platform. Responsible for the optimal deployment of sales personnel within CRM. Make recommendations for changing sales roles, coverage models, or team configurations to maximize sales productivity.
Ensures sales reports and other internal intelligence is provided to the sales organization.
Four year college degree from an accredited institution; masters in business administration (MBA) or equivalent preferred but not required.
Minimum five years in a sales operations, business planning, or sales support management role.
5+ years Salesforce systems experience (Salesforce admin certification preferred), including the creation and maintenance of dashboards, list views and reports
Customer focus mentality with an emphasis on thriving in a matrixed environment with a strong focus on creating buy-in across multiple revenue functions. Successful track record of being a partner to Sales, Business Systems, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Success leadership, with the ability to prioritize and balance driving key business objectives with requirements across multiple stakeholders.
Experience successfully managing analytically rigorous corporate initiatives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
