Senior Corporate Accountant
This position is located in Carmel, Indiana.
General Description: *
The Senior Corporate Accountant will support the Corporate Controller for this private equity owned business, exhibiting the highest level of ethical responsibility. The Corporate Controller serves as the key accounting and financial reporting authority for the company and is responsible for timeliness, accuracy, and completion of all financial information with support from the Senior Corporate Accountant. The Senior Corporate Accountant will work closely with the Corporate Controller and the financial teams of the various Business Units supporting the accounting and reporting of financial results and the implementation of overall controls and processes. The Senior Corporate Accountant will serve as a resource for US GAAP & IFRS compliance matters, external audit support, and as a liaison between the Company and its parent. The Senior Corporate Accountant will support tax matters of the Company as needed. While performing all duties and responsibilities, the individual will, at all times, model Braun values and principals and act in a manner consistent with the Braun Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
Essential Job Responsibilities: *
Provides appropriate analysis, guidance, and counsel to Braun’s business units on matters impacting Company financial results.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
Ensures the consolidated financial statements and related disclosures and records are produced timely, efficiently, and accurately.
Assists in variance analyses and monthly MR&A reporting.
Supports the audit and maintains an open relationship with external auditors.
Stays abreast of new accounting and income tax regulations, supports Corporate Controller on implementing new procedures and quantifying the impacts on Company overall financial results as a result.
Ensures accounting policy is consistently applied and documented as needed throughout the Company and in compliance with U.S. GAAP/IFRS.
Works closely with Corporate Controller and the financials teams of the various Business Units to ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
Works closely with other key internal relationships.
Builds relationships with the Company’s key lending institutions.
Supports team improvement activities spanning multiple processes with diverse teams in various geographical areas.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required. Public accounting experience preferred.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and shifting time requirements, while working with coworkers in remote locations.
Must be able to promote a participative, team-oriented environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
