21/64, a non-profit consulting practice specializing in next generation and multigenerational engagement in philanthropy and family enterprise, is seeking a part-time intern for the summer of 2021. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in a strategic philanthropic environment within an organization focused on making an impact. Internships offer a crucial pathway to future experience for the next generation of nonprofit leaders. You must certify this internship meets your school’s requirements to earn academic credit prior to starting assignment. This will be a remote, 6-8-week internship to collaborate in an innovative setting.
As our intern, you will be part of a team which provides donor education, training and facilitation to individuals, families, and their professional advisors. You may be asked to contribute in the following ways:
- Conduct research/analysis
- Develop programmatic materials
- Utilize tech skills to analyze data, work on virtual programming, etc.
- Identify places of creativity/innovation in our current methods/programs
- Balance working across various team-stakeholder teams
- Provide administrative support
You’ll be busy, challenged and intrinsically involved in our many deliverables. It is a casual work environment in a professional field and provides the opportunity to work closely with and learn from highly respected nonprofit professionals. You will need your own laptop for this position.
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- An interest in philanthropy (specifically next gen and family philanthropy)
- Experience or interest in the nonprofit sector
- The ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
- The ability to be flexible, adaptable and take initiative
- Extraordinary writing and verbal communication proficiencies
- Ability to work and collaborate with many team members
- High-level of organizational skills
As families engage the next generation in their foundations, donor advised funds, and other forms of family enterprise, there is an increasing need for clarity, communication and multigenerational collaboration. 21/64 offers coaching and peer networks for next generation donors, facilitation services for multigenerational families and foundations, as well as speaking engagements and training for institutions striving to engage the next generation of their clients. All consultations include 21/64’s uniquely developed resource tools to assist individuals, families and advisors during times of generational transition.
