The Social Media Manager Intern is a member of the Strategic Engagement team and will support the Director of Strategic Engagement and Development team with the execution of the Social Media Strategy on all platforms through content creation, development of marketing materials, communication with our followers, and the identification of potential partnerships within the A 2nd Cup community. The Social Media Manager will spend approximately 15 hours per week on such creations and management responsibilities, totaling ~360 hours during a 6 month internship period.
+ Creating posts and updating company website. Prior use of WordPress is a plus.
+ Assist with the content creation for the Social Media Monthly Calendar
+ Share approved content across platforms (e.g., Instagram to Twitter & Facebook)
+ Attend events to capture live social media footage and BTS content
+ Development of marketing materials such as flyers, postcards, and letters.
+ Assist with influencer marketing research and outreach
+ Creating email content and outreach.
+ Other duties as assigned.
+ A strong desire to use skills and experience to fight human trafficking in Houston
+ Certificate or Diploma in Digital Communication, SEO, Journalism, or advertising preferred
+ 1-year experience in Digital Marketing or related field
+ Impeccable Oral and Written Communication Skills
+ Knowledge of Social Media Analytics as well as Google Analytics
+ In-Depth knowledge of major Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
+ Pass a background check
+ Stipend for supervisor hours, if needed
