Job Description
The Operations Intern will support the Service Center Operations department and will gain exposure to equipment management, transportation coordination and operations planning.
Responsibilities

Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Under supervision, assist in the planning, supervision, and control of available resources associated with the timely, damage-free, and safe loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts.

Gain understanding of load planning safety and maintenance.

Assist in job task assignment according to unloading and loading schedules.

Gain exposure to work assignment coordination, and performance monitoring.

Provide a clean, safe working environment for all personnel and visiting customers.

Requirements

Must be pursuing a college degree, required

Supply Chain and Business majors, preferred

Minimum 2.5 GPA, preferred

No prior experience necessary

Basic computer skills, required

Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required

This is a part time position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week. Work hours will be scheduled to support a 24/7 operation.
