Alight’s Early Career Development Internship Program, Inspire

The Inspire Internship is a part of our early career development programs. Interns in this program actively participate in a blended 10-week summer program, across offices throughout the US. This program is a blend of formal education, experiential learning, and mentorship and networking. Helping you to succeed is our top priority. People matter. This internship will run from June 1, 2021 – August 13, 2021.

As a Consumer Experience Digital Project Coordinator Intern, you will assist in the development of digital personalized communications that drives engagement and clearer decision support. You’ll be part of the Consumer Experience practice where our objective is to relentlessly pursue solutions for our customers that simplify and enhance work and life through our unique blend of service, technology, and data. We create digital solutions that are simple, personal, and connected.

The responsibilities include:

  • Supports completion of requirements for configuration, internal testing, and client testing

  • Follows software methodology development processes

  • Understands roles and interests of key stakeholders

  • Gathers project information and verifies scope of the project

  • Participates in project planning meetings

  • Develops project schedules

  • Assists in identifying internal/external project resources

  • Participates in project kickoff meeting(s) and ongoing status meetings

  • Monitors/manages project schedules, tracks milestones and deliverables

  • Notifies project team of overall project status

  • Assists in gathering meeting materials

  • Works with team to ensure all documents are accurate and posted appropriately

  • Completes project and process evaluation, ongoing refresh schedules

  • Completes, closes, and archives project documents

  • Provides ideas for process improvements

  • Celebrates achievements with team

Education:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.

Applicants for this role must be on track to graduate in December 2021 – June 2022.

Interns in the program can expect to participate in the activities outlined, below.

Formal education:

  • Role-based and business skills training

  • Weekly leader connects with Business Leaders, Ignite Colleagues, and Ignite Alumni

Experiential learning:

  • Hands-on impact projects, followed by end-of-internship presentations

  • Coaching and feedback provided throughout the program

Mentorship and networking:

  • Mentors are aligned to each intern
