Alight’s Early Career Development Internship Program, Inspire
The Inspire Internship is a part of our early career development programs. Interns in this program actively participate in a blended 10-week summer program, across offices throughout the US. This program is a blend of formal education, experiential learning, and mentorship and networking. Helping you to succeed is our top priority. People matter.
This internship will run from May 31, 2022, through August 5, 2022.
We are seeking an Internal Communications Intern to support a wide range of communication initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and organizational skills, and demonstrated versatility, creativity and flexibility. We’re looking for someone who’s a self-motivated, self-starter with a strong desire to learn organizational communications.
Work with the global communications team to maintain key communication channels and distribution processes for Alight.
Support the content development process for the company intranet and help ensure a smooth and efficient end-to-end process from content development to publication.
Assist communicators to balance content across Alight’s five values and make content decisions relative to current events, prioritization and pipeline.
Carry a heavy writing workload, supporting or creating a wide range of communication deliverables-including face-to-face (as possible), video, social media, voice, online-to engage and inform all levels of colleagues.
Assist with design/creative support for communication channels and initiatives.
Help track and measure impact and success of communication channels and campaigns.
Successfully manage and prioritize a significant workload.
Take on smaller-scale communication projects or initiatives with oversight.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
An ability to build relationships both in-person and virtually.
Able to balance multiple priorities and work well independently.
An understanding of change management concepts.
An understanding of communication-related technologies and channels.
An uncompromising commitment to quality and detail.
Team-oriented with a strong sense of commitment to colleagues and clients.
Enjoys a collaborative environment.
MS Office proficiency required. SharePoint and Adobe Photoshop proficiency preferred.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field.
