In a competitive interpretation industry, the Alliance Language Network (ALN) stands out for offering interpretation and translation services in over 70 languages and serving 5,000 cases every year. ALN is a social enterprise initiative of the Alliance for Multicultural Community Services.
The ALN Intern be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of our marketing strategy, focus on creating, implementing, tracking and optimizing our digital and traditional marketing campaigns across various marketing channels.
Objective of the Assignment:
To assist in expanding the Interpreter Program through marketing strategies and public relations.
Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers through prospecting and networking.
Assist in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies.
Develop marketing strategies for projects, including company websites and social media.
Develop and communicate marketing plans, campaign results and project recommendations to senior management team.
Supporting the ALN team with marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas, including optimization, advertising, social media, direct marketing, and event planning.
Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns.
Liaise with external vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns.
Collaborate with marketing and other professionals to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts.
Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, TV etc.)
Draft press releases, emails, and other communications to existing & potential clients that will generate interest in The Alliance’s activities and accomplishments related to client impact.
Hours: 15 hours/week
Proven experience as marketing specialist or similar role.
Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools.
Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, Google AdWords etc.)
Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools (e.g. Dreamweaver) desired
Well-organized and detail oriented.
Exceptional communication and writing skills.
Commercial awareness collaborated with a creative mind.
BSc/BA in marketing, communications or equivalent.
Start Date: flexible
Duration/Internship Commitment: at least 3 months preferred
Type of Position: Hybrid. Remote and in-person internship
Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. We are happy to comply with university credit-based internship expectations.
