Alvarez & Marsal is seeking consulting candidates with finance and accounting experience to join the Corporate Performance Improvement (“CPI”) team.
Analysts are routinely exposed to senior client and firm leadership and help our clients solve complex problems from day one of their first projects. Working on meaningful engagements, Analysts produce work that is frequently seen by senior client executives. A&M CPI is a tight-knit and fun team, and we are looking for candidates who are strong additions from both an A&M cultural and professional standpoint. The ideal candidate is adaptable to new assignments, systems, and tools can handle multiple tasks concurrently, is able to meet deadlines under pressure, and has a strong sense of humor. Travel is to be expected.
The ideal candidate plans to earn their CPA license after graduation, and be interested in many of the following areas:
o Full-cycle accounting and finance processes and performance improvement
o Accounting remediation
o Bankruptcy reporting
o Treasury management
o Financial planning and analysis
o Merger, acquisition, and divestiture support
o SEC Reporting
Candidates should possess excellent technical accounting skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and written and verbal communication skills. Minimum 3.0 GPA required, both major and overall. Anticipated CPA license after graduation required. Demonstrated leadership ability is a plus. Relevant work experience is a plus but not required.
