Position: Risk & Compliance Intern
Location: Irvine, CA
Practice Summary: The Risk and Compliance group is comprised of industry-leading practitioners in all disciplines of regulatory compliance. At Ankura we believe collaboration creates success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will work directly with Risk & Compliance group leaders in conducting compliance investigations and executing corporate compliance projects, including compliance advisory, compliance program implementation, independent monitorship/oversight, assessment, and audit projects. The intern will also work collaboratively with colleagues on proposals, thought leadership, marketing collateral and campaigns, and internal company projects.
Further Responsibilities Include:

Working closely with colleagues on successfully executing compliance projects and producing quality, highly-polished solutions and deliverables

Independently executing specific tasks, as directed, in an efficient and proficient manner

Working on collateral, thought leadership, marketing, and other market-facing projects

Working on proposals and pitches for potential projects and engagements

Working on and participating in company internal projects and initiatives
Qualifications:
Candidates should be top academic performers, be interested in the consulting industry, and meet the following criteria:

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree with an expected graduation date between December 2020 to August 2021

A cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better
-
Interested in working in the risk and compliance field

Interested in national security,

Highly motivated, energetic, eager to learn, willing to travel, and able to motivate self and others

Able to take direction, identify and resolve relevant risks/questions/issues, and work independently to efficiently complete assigned tasks

Team-oriented and collaborative, with a positive outlook and attitude

Polished and effective communications (verbal and written) when interacting with team members, colleagues, and clients

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Ability to work overtime or travel as requested
