This intern will assist in supporting project initiatives and clinical operations in the Commercial and Specialty Business Division (CSBD) of Anthem National Accounts.
This intern will work side-by-side with Business Change Managers, Clinical professionals, and Clinical Operations leadership. The candidate should have knowledge in business processes, data analysis experience, high level / basic understanding of claims processing and operations, or any combination of education and experience.
This role is responsible for performing data analysis tasks, data organization, report development, and operational support in whatever capacity is needed. The intern should be willing to display flexibility and willingness to try new things and take on new responsibilities. The intern should have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and specifically be proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint (familiarity and at least a moderate level of experience with MS Excel is a requirement). The candidate should be able to apply principles of data analysis to help identify trends in claims data and business processes to support identification of improvement opportunities. They should be able to interact with business analysts, business owners, and work in groups, as well as manage and prioritize work assignments based on business need.
The Intern will be assigned to work along-side seasoned business analysts, Business Change Managers, and / or Clinical Operations resources. They will be given a workload to learn and eventually manage on their own. These workloads could include production file maintenance for certain CSBD programs, trend analysis, process improvement opportunities, and department reporting.
Prefer graduate student, or senior year undergraduate .
