The Internal Audit department is recruiting for an 8-week Audit Contractor position. We are seeking candidates, with either prior work experience or demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, to assist in conducting internal audits and other activities for various Company locations and processes. For each audit assigned and with due professional care; (1) conduct and document audit procedures applied; (2) research and interpret audit procedure results; (3) conclude on the objectives of the audit procedures performed and; (4) report and present results to departmental management.
Under direct supervision:
Perform audit testing procedures and documentation, in a timely manner and in Provide sufficient evidential support for all procedures applied and conclusions drawn using clear, concise documentation
Obtain audit evidence from audit clients
Participate in interviews and walkthroughs with process owners throughout the Company
Assess the reliability and integrity of financial and operating information
Assess compliance with Company policies and procedures that could have a significant impact upon operations
Based on the results of the audit procedures applied and conferring with other team members, draft audit issues for presentation to remediation owners
Demonstrate the capacity to handle sensitive data discreetly and with professional care and control
Work with all levels of personnel, management, and with different cultures in a professional manner
Must have or be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related discipline.
Consideration will be given to candidates who have obtained, or are pursuing, various audit-related certifications (CPA, CIA, CFE, etc.).
No prior work experience required
Any work exposure to basic accounting functions, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, or the offshore drilling industry is desirable.
