HR – Culture & Learning Internship

The Bon Secours Mercy Health Internship Program is a paid 10-12 week immersive program that will expose students to the healthcare industry while also giving them the skills and experience needed to build a career. The program provides opportunities for mentorship, networking, career & professional development, community service, job shadowing, and exposure to senior and executive leaders. The intern will work under the direction of Bon Secours Mercy Health leadership by supporting the Culture & Learning team on special projects.

Location: Home Office in Cincinnati, OH (other locations may be available)

Dates:

Hours: 40 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks

Culture & Learning – The Culture and Learning is responsible for developing, building, and managing a robust learning curriculum for all levels of employees, with a focus on frontline leaders, educating employees on culture behaviors and working with leaders to hold their employees accountable. The team also supports the development of mobile-friendly learning. Projects include: Culture Assimilation, Workday Integration, Frontline Leader Development, Employee on-boarding experience, and Leader on-boarding experience. Responsibilities include:

  • Support the coordination of learning events, deployment of learning activities and tracking of participants in Workday

  • Partner with the Manager of Learning Operations and the Manager of Learning Delivery to support various team projects

  • Provide technical support for Zoom and Adobe Connect trainings

  • Write communications for Culture and Learning Core Curriculum courses

  • Gain exposure to a variety of Culture and Learning topics

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, I/O Psychology

  • Junior/Senior/Graduate preferred

  • Strong service orientation

  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and sense of accountability

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite – specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Good communication (verbal, written, and listening)

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Must be self-motivated, capable of taking initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing priorities, and effectively manage deadlines

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and have strong rapport with the leaders and colleagues

  • Ability to work independently

  • Entrepreneurial mindset

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong time management and organization skills

  • Keeps supervisor informed on a routine basis as to the status of various projects, particularly when a delay or problem arises
