The ideal candidate for this position is seeking nonprofit executive level positions (Executive Director / CEO, Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Operations Officer, etc.) after business school. They must thrive in a rapidly growing startup environment and be comfortable working through ambiguity with minimal guidance. We are looking for passionate, self-driven, and entrepreneurial individuals who are excited about workforce development, access to higher education, and positively affecting change in their local communities.
This internship position will report to the Executive Director (and Co-Founder). This is a virtual position although in-person meetings may be possible if the candidate is located in Houston, TX. The internship will be structured like a series of mini-consulting projects with a particular focus on helping BridgeYear position, market, and scale its newest product nationally for maximum impact. Through these projects, the intern will gain experience in various aspects of a startup nonprofit.
Sample internship projects may include:
- Pricing strategy and competitive landscape analysis
- Inventory management and operations improvement
- Nation-wide marketing strategy
- Growth plan and budget modeling
Length and timing of internship are flexible. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until position is filled.
