Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Treasury Analyst – Intern with a concentration of studies in accounting or finance to join our growing team in Houston, TX!
The Treasury Analyst – Intern role is responsible for assisting Cash & Debt Management, Credit, and Insurance groups within the Treasury department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:
General support includes:
o Prepare budgets and perform analysis
o Research and respond to inquiries
o Manage data reporting
o Process mail and invoices
o Perform compliance reviews
o Document desk procedures and processes
o Ensure compliance with internal controls
Cash & Debt Management. Assisting in management of cash inflows/outflows:
o Perform fee analysis
o Support and manage bank account administration
o Prepare surety bond requests
Credit. Assisting in management of credit risk exposure:
o Perform customer credit reviews
o Prepare accounts receivable reports and analysis
o Perform counterparty confirmations
Insurance. Assisting in management of insurance risk exposure:
o Gather data related to insurance renewals and claim submission
o Prepare insurance applications
o Prepare insurance reconciliations
o Monitor and collect outstanding insurance reimbursements
o Provide a certificate of insurance and auto ID cards to vendors and employees
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or other related discipline is required.
If undergraduate, must:
o Be at least junior standing
o Have completed intermediate level accounting courses
o Be in good academic standing
o Have a minimum 3.0 grade point average
