Job Summary: The Small Vessel Peripheral Franchise Product Marketing Intern will gain broad product marketing experience with deliverables in the following areas: 1) Global Marketing Plan development for a key new product launch and sales program including market research, new product positioning, procedural selling, sales tool and collateral development; 2) Collaboration to delivery results with internal and external stakeholders (operating successfully in a matrix environment); 3) Conference planning, support and execution to achieve strategic objective. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to think strategically and execute tactically to support commercial marketing and sales objectives Foster collaboration with cross-functional franchise teams to advance project priorities Identify and investigate various channels to gather information on an identified competitive product including web-based content, industry reports, physician presentations, clinical publications, etc. As needed, develop and maintain effective collaboration with physician customers including successfully gathering needed voice-of-customer (VOC) input Business plan development and project planning capabilities including defining key steps, successfully delivering on needed actions, and reporting on progress Ability to concisely summarize and synthesize broad sets of information and incorporate into sales and customer facing collateral (PowerPoint, brochures, other) Presentation of results, projects, or other outputs to marketing team members and senior leadership including a capstone summary at the close of the internship Maintain compliance to the CSI Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required for Successful Job Performance: This is a list of knowledge, skills and abilities required for high performance. B.A. or related master s degree candidate. Bachelor s in Marketing, Business or technical discipline required. Healthcare/science background or aspiration highly desirable; related medical device experience preferred but not required Desired 1 year in commercial product marketing, market research, market strategy or sales Has a passion for solving complex problems Ability to thrive, quickly adapt to change in a dynamic, fast-paced company and matrixed work environment to actively go after opportunities and solve problems Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders (e.g., customers, global KOL s, RandD, Clinical, Sales/Marketing, Finance, Regulatory, etc.) Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence, verbally and in writing Knowledge of medical device industry trends (e.g. health care reform and clinical/economic customers) Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally Ability to write strong business/marketing plans Ability to confidently and competently present to Executive teams and large groups preferred.
