This internship is designed for current college students, undergraduate or graduate seeking a career in commercial real estate. Recent graduates are also eligible and encouraged to apply. Participation in the program is intended to provide a well-rounded knowledge of the commercial real estate business and valuable skills, earned by working alongside talented professionals in the largest and most successful global commercial real estate services firm.
The internship accelerates your learning and development by providing you with a strong foundation upon which to build your commercial real estate valuation career. As a program participant, you will also partake in learning and development activities designed especially for you.
Responsibilities May Include:
Assisting licensed appraisers with the preparation of appraisal reports
Conduct rent comparable surveys of apartment properties
Confirm sale transactions with local brokers and enter data into our database
Conducting market research of overall multifamily trends in the local market and produce Market Analysis reports
Researching local zoning laws and ordinances and summarizing these findings
Assisting in automating or streamlining labor-intensive tasks
Underwriting projected income and expense forecasts
This internship is designed for candidates with a strong academic background, preferably in business, economics, real estate, computer science, or a quantitative field of study. Applicants should be disciplined, self-motivated, seek to learn about commercial real estate valuation, have excellent listening skills, and be able to work equally well individually or in group environments. Interest in the multi-family property type is preferred.
