Choice Hotels is in search of a Program Manager, Franchise Development Strategy & Analytics. This position will support achieving all aspects of the department’s mission of acting as a catalyst to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Franchise Development organization.
To do so, this individual will develop performance insights/analytics and strategic plans to streamline operations, fuel sales growth, and deliver on innovative initiatives.
This individual is responsible for supporting leadership in setting strategic vision and managing cross-functional projects across the company’s Franchise Development and other internal organizations.
Additionally, the Project Manager will provide the Franchise Development leadership team with critical business insights that aid in timely decision-making.
Responsibilities include analyzing business opportunities, synthesizing recommendations and strategy, tracking, and disseminating both internal Choice and overall lodging industry data to use in support of the company’s Franchise Development effort
This position requires excellent analytical and research skills, as well as the attention to detail necessary to prepare reports and presentations for senior management. Outstanding problem solving, communication (written and verbal), project management, quantitative, and analytical skills/experience are also required.
Also important are the abilities to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and be comfortable working in advanced Excel, Salesforce.com (CRM), Peoplesoft, ChoiceMap, Tableau, and other corporate systems. Position will frequently use external data sources such as Smith Travel Research, Lodging Econometrics, ConstructionWire, HoterlMarketData, and CoStar.
Skills, Educational Background, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience, ideally in analytics, Finance, operations, or Strategy function preferred
MBA degree and/or consulting experience preferred
Excellent analytical and research skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficient understanding of information systems is desired
Proficient in the use of MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint. Advanced in the use of Excel.
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and tasks concurrently.
Demonstrated ability to build organization alignment and influence organizational changes
Ability to multi-task and interact effectively with stakeholders of various disciplines
Outstanding problem solving and strategic thinker
