Financial Development Program – Summer Internship
Cigna's Financial Development Program (FDP) is a premier rotational leadership program that builds a financial foundation for professionals who aspire to be health service company leaders. With a rich 25+ year history at Cigna, many of our principal financial leaders throughout the organization have graduated from the FDP.
The 10-week FDP Summer Associate program provides the opportunity to work on a project aligned to our business priorities and growth strategy. Additionally, summer associates are assigned a full-time FDP associate as their mentor and provided opportunities to meet with senior leaders throughout the summer.
The FDP Summer Associate Internship is the primary entry point to becoming a Full-Time FDP Associate. Summer associates selected to join the Full-Time FDP will rotate through various roles in the organization, each rotation lasting about two years. We work with you in devising these rotations: work experience, career goals, and Cigna's business needs drive rotation selection. Over the course of five to eight years, FDP associates gain the competencies, confidence, and organizational support to fill key leadership positions within finance and across the enterprise.
