D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Financial Services Intern for their Financial Services Corporate Department. The right candidate will assist the Compliance Managers and support staff with the management of all functions of the Compliance department. Learn the needs and methods in the Compliance department within the company, support company policies and standards, suggest improvements within the system, and execute policies to ensure compliance with quality standards.

The intern will also be encouraged to explore other areas of interest to learn more about the general operations of the company; vision both within and outside of the assigned department that will be supplemental to the learning experience.

This is a rotational internship in which the intern will spend the majority of their summer within our Compliance department, but they will also rotate for a few days to three additional departments such as Closing, Quality Control, and National Resolutions (for example) to gain a well rounded view of the Mortgage Corporate Industry. By the end of the internship a Financial Services Intern will have had exposure to third party oversight, vendor management, fair lending/HMDA regulation, incentives and contractual due diligence, and compliance operations.

Education and/or Experience
Must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university and seeking a degree in a related field
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
Proficiency with MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications
Strong communication skills
Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
