Internship begins on January 3, 2022 and ends on April 15, 2022.

Tax Internship

Tax interns will experience a hands-on training program during the first week of the internship, where they will learn how to use tax software programs, develop an understanding of tax procedures, learn about busy season expectations and more. Some responsibilities of an tax intern include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting with preparation of corporate and individual tax returns

• Conducting research

• Working on tax projections using information compiled by the audit staff or provided by the client

The main types of returns you will see are personal property tax returns, such as individual, and both C and S corporation returns. You will work with clients across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, non-profit, auto dealership, retail and restaurant, service, financial institution industries and more.

Interns work between 40-55 hours a week. Your work will be done in the office and there are several opportunities to work with different associates, managers and shareholders. Professional associates/interns at Doeren Mayhew work closely with clients, providing specialized levels of knowledge and service unrivaled in the world of public accounting.
