We are seeking a talented Social Media Intern to boost our online presence and engagement by managing social media accounts, creating content and maintaining a clear representation of the brand across all platforms. The social media intern reports to the Digital Marketing Supervisor.
Assist the Digital Marketing Supervisor with brainstorming ideas for social media and marketing campaigns.
Create and publish original content to social media platforms daily.
Engage with followers, answer questions on social media in a timely fashion, and monitor customer reviews.
Research trends and devise strategies to increase brand awareness in the marketplace.
Perform other duties as required including assisting other departments as needed.
Display professionalism, strong work ethic, flexibility, and ability to work in a face-paced environment.
Recent graduate or a student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a related area.
Experience in social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.
Understand social media analytics
Solid understanding of leveraging hashtags and trending topics
Solid communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with team members
Strong computer skills (must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite)
Strong organizational, planning,, problem solving and decision-making skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and apply appropriate time management principles to complete all required activities
Excellent copywriting skills
Must have a reliable mode of transportation to the corporate office.
Applicants must be available for a minimum of 35 hours per week. Typical day: 9am-5pm. This is a paid position.
