Through direct engagement with partners around the world, the Network Investments – Emerging Markets Team seeks to foster the development of open, shared transport network infrastructure to bring more people online to a faster internet. If you have a passion for emerging markets, and a desire to leverage your investing and corporate finance skillsets to increase broadband access by working with industry stakeholders to drive innovative, cutting edge, cost efficient network infrastructure then this is a great role for you!As an MBA Intern Investment Manager, you will collaborate closely with a broad Facebook cross-functional team and regional partner managers to devise, evaluate, structure and negotiate investments to accelerate deployment of open, shared network infrastructure. Our internship will run across the summer from 21st June – 10th September 2021.
Required Skills:

Support the full lifecycle of infrastructure investments from opportunity assessment, business case development, due diligence, structuring, negotiation and execution

Critical member of transaction team and will support other members of the deal team (partner managers, partner engineers, etc.), primarily but not exclusively through financial analysis and due diligence

Extensive financial modeling and valuation analyses including sensitivity analysis to support potential investment opportunities
-
Participate in negotiations with prospective partners alongside other deal team members
-
Assist in review of all legal documentation including debt financing, share purchase, shareholders agreements, and other ancillary documents
-
Support the preparation and presentation of investment recommendations to internal stakeholders
-
Work collaboratively with broad cross-functional partners such as Finance, Legal, Regulatory and Policy, to champion and drive execution of projects

Assemble presentation materials and other written documentation in support of deal communications within Facebook and for our external partners
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and in the process of obtaining, an MBA degree

Excellent quantitative and economics analysis skills
-
Strong financial and operational modeling skills
-
4+ years of investment experience (public, private, buy-sell side, private equity, project finance, etc.)

Exposure to and corporate finance experience in emerging markets

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Intent to return to the MBA degree-program after the completion of the internship

Experience designing and structuring term sheets and legal agreements with entities of various sizes, including development finance institutions and multi-national stakeholders

Project finance or other debt-based investment experience in TMT sector

Experience negotiating infrastructure sharing investment models (Fiberco, co-build, submarine consortiums and / or Towerco)

Knowledge of telecom infrastructure
