Product MBA Intern

We are seeking individuals interested in the Financial Technology industry in one or more of the following areas to participate in our summer Product MBA Internship Program:

  • Product management (General management)

  • Product Strategy

  • Strategy

  • Finance

Ideal candidates will bring intellectual curiosity, humility, a strong work ethic and leadership potential. This program will allow participants to obtain a deeper understanding of consumer payment and financial technology trends and apply them to inform Fiserv’s product, finance and business strategy. The conclusions and final outcomes of the body of work will be presented to executive (C-level) leadership.

This program will be primarily located in North Jersey, NJ, or Alpharetta, GA, and offer a high degree of viability and exposure to senior management. The individual project assignments may be in one of the following areas:

  • Payments and Financial Analytics

  • Market Strategy

  • Product Strategy

  • Product Management

Job responsibilities

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and analyze consumer and market trends

  • Manage confidential and sensitive financial information that is analytical in nature

  • Complete competitive research, consumer research, financial models and market data analysis

  • Develop business cases to bring new capabilities to market

  • Create proof of concepts for new solutions

  • Help design new initiatives within existing corporate programs

  • Review, analyze, and develop insights from existing transactional data

  • Focus on data validation to ensure integrity of the data set

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across numerous functions in order to understand key business drivers and deliver actionable insights

  • Propose key performance indicators and benchmarks for the business going forward

  • Other areas for potential involvement include predictive modeling of consumer behavior, analytics on consumer trends in payments, and payments flow optimization

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Master of Business Administration

  • Acute attention to detail and a high degree of professionalism and business maturity

  • High aptitude for mathematics and economics

  • Familiarity with data reconciliation and openness to learning new systems

  • Orientation and ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person and on the telephone

  • Motivation to be proactive within special projects and continuously improve effectiveness and efficiency of business processes and transaction flows

  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment, problem solve, and trouble shoot

  • Ability to use discretion and good judgment with sensitive data and maintain confidentiality

  • Experience with creation and interpretation of complex statistical models

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI and complex relational databases is a plus
