About
Forty Acres Energy is a Houston, Texas based exploration and production company focused on the acquisition and development of conventional oil reserves, including the implementation of enhanced-recovery techniques.
We are looking for a dynamic, Entry Level Accounts Payable with an interest in developing an expertise in the oil & gas sector
What You’ll Be Doing (aka, What You’ll Brag About on LinkedIn):
- Full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) processing, including invoice review, coding, and entry
- Vendor management, including onboarding, communication, and resolving discrepancies
- Preparing and processing weekly check runs and electronic payments (ACH/wire)
- Ensuring proper approval workflows and adherence to internal controls
- Monitoring AP aging and maintaining accurate and timely payments
- Reconciling vendor statements and investigating variances
- Supporting audits by providing AP documentation and reports
- Maintaining organized and compliant AP records and documentation
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Strong critical thinking skills & entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft products a must
