What you’ll do
Gartner’s internship programs give students from many disciplines and backgrounds the opportunity to get a true feel of what it’s like to work at Gartner. More than an opportunity to bolster your résumé, an internship offers the potential to launch a career at Gartner.
As a Gartner intern, you’ll work with and be mentored by Gartner consultants, and you’ll take responsibility for specific components of a client project. As a case team member, you’ll gain a 360-degree perspective on life as a Gartner consultant from working on client projects to socializing with colleagues.
As a member of our team, you will collaborate with fellow Gartner associates and work on a variety of topics. You will be part of a team that will execute IT strategy projects while advising clients on how technology enables a wide range of business outcomes.
What you’ll need
-
Being in progress of completing university level education with an outstanding and consistent academic record, MBA qualification preferred;
-
Knowledge of Communication Service Providers key technology trends and architecture principles, including telecom network design and deployment (e.g. 5G as emerging technology) and implementation of enabling paradigms like Network Function Virtualization (NFV) or Software-Defined Networks that rely on cloud services and virtualization of the data center environment.

Ideally some knowledge on the following areas:
-
Data Center and network related technologies/vendors (e.g. VMware, Cisco, Microsoft, Mainframe, UNIX) as well as Cloud Service Providers (e.g. AWS, Azure or GCP);

Telecoms sector including eTOM, OSS and BSS processes for fixed line, wireless and data service providers
-
infrastructure operations and operations automation (e.g., ITIL processes, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery) and related SLA;
-
Good communication, presentation and facilitation skills;
-
Positive thinker and willing to work as well as part of a team;
-
Willingness to learn, a consistently high achiever marked by perseverance, humility and a positive outlook in the face of challenges;

Fluent in Italian and English.
