As an Engineering Intern you will be working within the Lean department under the direction of LEAN Leader. You would assist in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles. Specifically, your focus would be on data collection at the manufacturing floor and data analysis in the office to assist in strategic operations management. All of operations team will be focusing on cost down thru implementation of lean manufacturing. The data collected will be utilized to ultimately achieve that goal.

Driving the disciplined and rigorous deployment of the LEM across their assigned area of responsibility.
Coaching their assigned area’s Leadership team in their deployment of the Lean Excellence Model(particularly the GLs and TLs).
Making problems immediately visible, allowing problem solving to take place Delivering significant improvement in People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cash and Cost (PSQDCC) targets, meeting their assigned area’s customer and stakeholder commitments, driven by significant improvements in Lean Maturity.
Assisting in Lean Expertise across their assigned area, ensuring that they become self sufficient in running the Lean Operating Model, working with the SLDL and fellow LDLs to ensure that all staff are fully certified in Lean Thinking at the appropriate level for their role.

Enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Completed Junior year of courses.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.
