At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Manager will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.
Provide interactive Gantt Chart visuals of the project progress, milestones reached, and upcoming actions as well as identify risks and opportunities. Visuals should be updated weekly. Other reporting mechanisms are welcome. Current scope includes approximately 130 tasks.
Develop standard presentations for all M&I projects and divide them in different audiences. Presentations should be simplified as much as possible and avoid busy and wordy presentations. Templates should be saved in a common folder for easy access and updated as needed. Resources shared with M&I Team.
Provide workflow or mapping visuals of the projects that can be used to explain progress to external audiences beyond the Gantt Chart. Gantt charts are used typically for high level communication, but everyone else should have access to a simplified version of the project process. These visuals can also be used from both the communication and training sides to explain what M&I is working on as an office (or team) and the status of our projects.
Provide SharePoint assistance to maintain and organize a site (if possible). Provide better solutions on how to organize the information.
Manage a Meetings Calendar to help with better meeting organization for OPR, which includes meeting status, progress, and deliverables.
Assist and partner with M&I for OPR Rollout with M&I maintaining control and ownership.
Evaluate options for automation, consider development of standard reporting or notifications for the different offices impacted by OPR regarding project tasks and updates to those tasks.
Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.
Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work.
Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Act as performance manager (coach) for up to four coachees outside of engagement responsibilities.
Interview campus and/or experienced candidates.
Product Lifecycle Management
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Coach and mentor junior staff members.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
