As the Global Operations Policies & Compliance Senior Financial Analyst, you will partner closely with the Supply Chain Finance Organization and will provide technical accounting guidance on new strategic business initiatives, maintain and update the Company’s accounting policies around inventory, inventory costing, E&O and warranty, and provide oversight over key SOX controls and processes related to global operations. You will work closely with cross-functional and geographically dispersed groups, including with business partners at all levels of the organization, and provide technical accounting guidance and direction. This role is a critical role in a growing team and reports to the Global Operations Technical Accounting Manager within the Enterprise Financial Reporting (EFR) group.
Provide technical accounting guidance to the Supply Chain Finance organization
Function as a key business partner to Global Operations senior management, helping to advise them on new strategic initiatives
Provide oversight on significant accounting transactions in the areas of responsibility to ensure they are in compliance with US GAAP
Maintain and continue to develop company policies in the areas of inventory, inventory costing, E&O and warranty based on new accounting pronouncements and any changes in the business environment
Review existing processes & controls, drive process improvements that impact the function globally, and ensure compliance within the SOX 404 framework
Mentor team members in a way that enhances effectiveness and personal development, and encourages team work
Lead M&A integration and policy harmonization efforts for supply chain
Help coordinate quarterly and annual audit requirements
Education and Experience Required:
BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) strongly preferred
5-10 years of overall Accounting/Finance work experience, with 3+ years in public accounting
Previous supply chain, inventory, and warranty experience is not required, but is a significant plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
Ability to work across time zones and to establish close working relationships with cross-functional teams
Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks, be a self-starter and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Ability to work with all levels of management
Strong analytical and modeling skills including advance proficiency in Excel and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports
