Responsibilities
The Cyber Security Intern will take part in a number of exciting ongoing day to day cyber operations and projects, which include:

Developing Information Security Standards, which establish safe computing guidelines

Evaluating threat intelligence data while converting the findings to actionable countermeasures
-
Participating in Cyber Team Incident Response Threat Mitigation Activities
-
Learning skills in Vulnerability Management, Application Security, Network and Endpoint Security
-
Improving your understanding of threat landscapes that can compromise systems & company data
-
Learning different Cyber & Financial Security Frameworks such as NIST, COBIT and PCI
Requirements & Experience
-
Working towards a Bachelor s degree from a 4-year institution; 3.0 GPA (strongly preferred)

Working towards one of the following information security certifications (CEH, CISSP, SANS)
-
Actively competing in university or industry cyber attack simulations (red / blue team)
-
Actively participating in at least one academic or industry Cyber Security Association
-
Academic background in information security/risk analysis, incident response, computer science, computer engineering or a similar major with extensive computer-based or technical content

A great attitude and hunger for learning and an ability to work within a team environment

Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills

Knowledge and understanding of common information/cyber security technologies (e. g. Firewalls, NIDS/HIDS, Web Proxies, Vulnerability Scanners
