Position Summary
The position will assist with the research and acquisition of parts and materials RoHS and REACH documentation using on-line database tools, manufacturer web sites, supply chain input, consultants, IL design documentation and other processes as directed. The position will include understanding European Union, EU, environmental legal requirements, list of restricted substances and usage, assessing parts and materials documentation to meet the legal requirements, execute SAP reports, assist with project administrative tasks, etc. The project goal is to determine RoHS compliance and REACH list of SVHCs for every part in all IL instruments.
Duties will include: The person would be trained on substance restrictions, common usage of substances in polymers, metal alloys, electronic components, and chemicals, run SAP reports, review supplier certificate documentation, scan and upload documents, interface with subject matter experts, and become familiar with On Market design change procedures.
In addition, the person would be trained to:

Provide assistance with creating and updating project schedules

Processing parts/component data through SiliconExpert tool for environmental reports
Skills: Experience with personal computer software tools such as MS Word, Excel, etc. Some familiarity with and interest in project management concepts.

At least 2 years college education in an engineering or bio-medical major
