Investorflow.org, a project of Realize Impact, seeks an Investor Relations Fellow as an independent contractor to play a central role in the management of its investor relations, deal sharing, investor database and general operations. While investorflow.org is headquartered on Bainbridge Island, Washington, near Seattle, the duties of this fellowship will be performed remotely and are not limited by geographic location. The length of this engagement is approximately one year. Realize Impact is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Investorflow.org is a global impact investing network that helps like-minded investors connect and share co-investment opportunities. Impact investments are for-profit investments that generate measurable social impact. Impact investing can be defined in many ways. At investorflow.org, an investment opportunity must satisfy at least one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in order to qualify as an impact investment. To date, more than 500 investors have joined the investorflow.org network and more than 50 deals have been shared, with many resulting in co-investments.
When an investor shares a deal on investorflow.org, we use profile data to find investors on the network whose investment preferences and goals correspond to that opportunity. A promotion for the deal and any necessary documents are shared with those investors. When an investor expresses interest in a deal that is shared, we then connect them with the investor who shared it, to take the conversation further.
At investorflow.org you will work with investors from around the world to extend the reach and effectiveness of the impact investment community. This role will be part-time (approximately 20 hours/month) and fully remote. The number of hours worked and schedule are flexible. We are looking for someone who can serve in this role for 12 months.
Typical operations include, but are not limited to:
– Onboarding new investors to the network
– Writing and distributing deal posts to share investment opportunities on the network
– Using databases to match deals to investors
– Connecting potential investors with investors who share deals of interest to them
– Creating profiles for investors on and adding deal posts to our website
– Database management
– Strong organizational skills
– Familiarity with Excel/Google Sheets
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Interest in impact investing
– Consistent attention to detail
