Los Alamos National Laboratory is looking for an outstanding talent acquisition professional to collaborate with hiring managers in the search for some of the best and brightest talent on the planet.
Reporting to the Group Leader for Diversity and Strategic Staffing within the Human Resources Division, the Recruiter 1 will use and apply standard talent acquisition principles and techniques to fill a variety of positions. Basic activities will include sourcing and recruiting candidates; leveraging advertising strategies; participating in career fairs/events; and focusing on diversity and inclusion considerations. This position will be assigned to a variety of weapons-related programs and is a terrific opportunity for an entry-level talent acquisition professional looking to step-up and create meaningful impact.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Basic experience using an array of recruiting tools to network, source, screen, and qualify candidates for a variety of positions, including the ability to resolve an assortment of talent acquisition-related problems of moderately complex scope in a timely manner.
Experience managing multiple recruiting requisitions, including the demonstrated ability to use defined practices and procedures to accurately disposition candidates.
Experience providing basic consultation to hiring managers in areas related to talent acquisition, including assisting with job posting/ad development, recruiting strategies, and hiring best practices.
Diversity and Inclusion
Basic understanding of diversity and inclusion strategies as they relate to talent acquisition, including the demonstrated ability to place diverse candidates across a variety of disciplines.
Education and Years of Relevant Experience
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the job.
Experience recruiting for a variety of STEM positions; experience recruiting for engineering and/or technician positions is highly desired.
Location: This position will be part of the Laboratory’s Telework Pilot and may work from a remote/home location within a two-hour ground commute of the Laboratory. Employee participation in the Telework Pilot may be shortened or extended at the manager’s discretion. Ability to report on-site is a must for this position.

for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance which requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon position, additional authorization to access nuclear weapons information may be required that may or may not be available to dual citizens depending upon the circumstances.
Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. SeeDOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
