Mattress Firm is excited to announce the opening of the Project Manager III position! This position manages and oversees all aspects of a project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget. Has overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing and outside vendors, and contractual deliverable. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. 

Essential Responsibilities

Create and maintain all project documentation including but not limited to project plan, project schedule, four quadrant project substantiation requests, and financial spreadsheets
Maintains critical path milestones tracking charts providing visibility in progress in project Work streams
Manages 1-2 large projects, 3-4 small project at the same time or comprehensive program management
Develops weekly status reports for management to review progress with the Steering Team
Assists with managing of project budget(s)
Perform risk management tasks
Ensures quality delivery of solutions by following up on issues log
Assists in management of change request and functionality release process ensuring scope controls are maintained
Leads and develops materials for key meetings and provides summaries of discussions and action items
Completes other projects and special assignments as requested by supervisor and/or Senior Management
Establish, maintain, and coordinate relationships with third parties and vendors
Establish and foster business relationships with other MFRM departments
Ensures delivery of projects are within deadlines and meet budget guidelines
Ensures priorities of projects worked on are aligned with business priorities
Facilitation of decision-making and problem resolution to keep projects moving
Escalation of concerns with resources, scope, budget and timeline
 

Non-Essential Responsibilities

Represent MFRM IT during meetings with primary and secondary vendors
Represent MFRM IT during meetings with primary and secondary service providers
 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree IT, Business or other related field, two years or more related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
 

Professional Experience

7+ Years Multiple concurrent project management required And
Retail and/or Technology background preferred
