MaxLinear is seeking a M.S or Ph.D. student for a Communications Systems Intern position for approximately four months. In this role, you will focus on the following:
Develop complex simulation models of 4G LTE, 5G NR, and RAN to study the end to end functionality, performance, and robustness of radio networks
Develop feedback mechanisms for efficient representation of communications channels
Implement the approach in MATLAB and investigate its merits for multi-user communication
Solid understanding of the principals of communications theory
Knowledge of digital signal processing and antenna theory will be an advantage
Fluency in MATLAB and experience with objected oriented programming
Demonstrated ability to expand knowledge base and quickly adapt to a new environment
Strong academic record
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
MS or Ph.D. student in electrical engineering or related
