The Associate Product Manager will identify customer
needs and bring to market new innovations and capabilities within Medtronic’s
Enabling Technologies portfolio, most notably in Planning, Navigation and
Robotics. These innovations will be aimed at developing value-added procedural
solutions that increase clinical and economic efficiencies in Spine care.
You will be responsible for helping to shape the direction of
our business by advancing new technology development for multiple spine
pathologies. As cross-functional contributors, you will work with
Regional Downstream Marketing, RD, Regulatory, Clinical, and other
functional areas to identify key product needs, specifications, and value-added
program solutions across the globe.
This position can be located in Memphis, TN or Louisville, CO.
A Day in the Life
Demonstrate a solidunderstanding of the clinical needs for the specific segment for which theyserve. They will work with peers and spinal surgeons to understand needs, gapsand opportunities.
Define and executemarket research to understand key business drivers in strategic markets across the globe alongside our market analytics group
Assist withprioritizing market customer needs, translate into new system and productrequirements that fit into a procedural solution. They will also align businessstakeholders around key strategic opportunities.
Assist inarticulating needs to provide direction for product development, clinical,operations and other functions critical to bringing a therapy to market
Involved in drivingglobal programs from business case to feasibility to commercialization andassists with defining messaging, positioning, and launch plans for the regions
Partner to understandPL and how decisions impact the financial viability of newinnovations.
Travel up to 20% of the time, within the U.S and internationally.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
2+ years of relevant experience inmarketing, engineering, clinical, consulting or similar with a Bachelors’degree, or Masters’ degree with 0 years of experience.
Nice to Have
Masters’ of Business Administration preferred
Knowledge of Orthopedics and/orSpine/Neurosurgery
Prior Upstream product marketing ordevelopment experience in both feasibility and launch
Strong work ethic and willingness to spendtime to learn spine pathology, commercial strategy, and internaldevelopment processes
Strong oral and written communication andpresentation skills; ability to convey complex information in a simple andeffective manner
Advanced analytical skills (market trends,financials, etc)
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word,Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work well under pressure andmaintain positive, enthusiastic attitude
Eagerness to learn and expand responsibilities
Ability to work effectively in amultidisciplinary team environment and build strong working relationship
