Join the National Low Income Housing Coalition’s (NLIHC’s) efforts to end homelessness and housing poverty in America! The policy intern assists the NLIHC policy team by tracking new legislation, attending and summarizing congressional hearings for our weekly e-newsletter, participating in meetings with congressional offices, developing materials for use in lobbying the House and Senate to accomplish NLIHC’s mission, and more.
Seeking someone with strong written and interpersonal communications skills. Experience or classwork in policy, advocacy, or government affairs a plus.
Interns are sought for the summer semester (June – August) and will work full-time. This is a paid internship position.
